Who knew a game of Jenga could be so funny........

On Sunday the kids decided to pull out a good ol' game of Jenga...well with a 16 month old in the house that could be kind of difficult..but who knew it would turn out to be so funny..... here is a little video of it.... speaking of Josiah.. he has definitely kept us on our toes lately... I guess I just don't remember my others being like this... this past week he has been writing on the walls, taking down all the dvd's off the shelf, waking up in the middle of the night, crumbling up his food and throwing on the floor, hiding my brush, and messing up my clean piles of laundry.... I think I have forgotten what it is like to have a toddler in the home.... LOL... all I can say is Calgon take me away...LOL... but I do have to say love every minute of it.. he is my little buddy, we go every where together and I love those hours during the day when him and I can just spend time together.. because when daddy and siblings get home ...he doesn't really want me... he is currently 32 lbs and 33 inches long, his newest word is apple or he tries to anyways....

This is Josiah in May of 2008, we went to Knott's berry farm on a girl scout trip, and this was Josiah's first amusment park and first ride. He didn't even cry he just had this curious look on his face the whole time. We had so much fun that day and he was such a good lil boy all day.

A weekend full of love ......

This past Friday the 13th(which is my lucky number) was definitely a monumental moment in our lives. We went to the adoption hearing for Kam and Tyler, and in about 5 minutes it was official. We couldn't be more grateful that it went so well and that all our prayers were answered. Now we can't wait for the next step which is to go to the temple to be sealed to him. With it being Valentine's day the following day I can't help but think about what will be on our minds each year Valentine's day comes around and how we will celebrate this wonderful day in our lives. After the hearing we all went to celebrate at our family's favorite place to eat Hometown buffet i'm sure some of you disagree but we love it and Josiah seemed to love the ice cream, we let him have a little ice cream cone to himself and he had it everywhere but we couldn't help but laugh WITH him and enjoy our time together. Later that night we went to a Valentine's dance that our ward put on. We had such a good time they had a chili and bake off... Kala entered our favorite family dessert skor bar cake, and she won 3rd place... she was so excited. Kam,Josiah and I tore up the dance floor and had so much fun....when we got home we were exhausted but grateful for a great family day. on saturday was Valentine's day, and since my husband and I haven't been out to dinner oh in about a year or maybe longer.. we decided to give in and go treat ourselves. We went along with another couple and went to famous daves BBQ is was really good. Finally to end the weekend full of love we went to church today and I heard a great talk by one of the high council about husbands and wives and how we can help our family grow. I thought what a perfect ending to a perfect weekend. here are a few pics...also scroll down after this post because I posted a video of Josiah.....hope you all had a great weekend.

Kam signing the official documents to be his dad
The kids doing there best to be quiet in the courtroom... ya they were a little loud =)
Ty was next to sign his name on the dotted line, with the special pen they gave him
The family with the Judge who awarded the adoption, we couldn't help but chuckle when we saw how tall she was...
It's official Father and Son!!!
And this is Kala at our dance!!

Recommendation.....

O.K. I just had to give a shout out to fresh and easy and share with maybe those who haven't gone there yet.... I absolutely love this store, I have saved so much money since I started shopping here. they send coupons in the mail for 6$ off 30$ or more purchase (which is easy to do). there weekly sales are just great, and the quality of the food is excellent. not only that if you save your receipts they give back to the schools...there employees are so welcoming as well. So if you haven't checked this store out yet I highly recommend it.....

ONE STEP CLOSER!!!

Finally the day has come... so some as some of you may know. we have been trying to get Tyler adopted by my husband for over a year now, for many of reasons but the most important reason is so that we can go to the Temple with Tyler and be sealed to him for all time and eternity. It just seemed like nothing was going our way and we had a pretty big mountain to climb, alot of obstacles to go through, and alot of turn downs. but finally they granted us an adoption hearing. I couldn't be more over joyed, and anxious tell my family when they get home from school and work. we have been waiting for this news for so long.... and after a long hectic week this news just took all the stress away.... anyways I just thought I would share this with my friends and family, I only wish that my friend Shannon was here so I could share the news with her too.. she helped me out a lot at the beginning stages of this process, and one of the last conversations we had was about us going to the temple with Tyler and how she wanted to go...well now she has a front row seat.. miss ya girl =)

deliriously posting

I am posting this blog a major lack of sleep, Last night we all went to sleep at the same time, as we normally do on Sundays, And then about 1am Josiah decided to wake up coughing and with a fever. So needless to say him and I have been up since 1, he is now sleeping but he is coughing and tooting every second which is waking him. So we are just hanging in there. If I am not making sense it is because I am deliriously tired. O.k. if you have noticed I have changed the name of our blog. I have been trying to come up with a name for awhile now and just couldn't think of one that stuck with me.. so I pretty much gave up and forgotten about the fact I wanted to change it. So I'm at the temple on Saturday listening to a speaker and he says it "monumental moments" and I said hey that almost sounded like he said our last name MONUMENTAL...and it came to me MANUMENTAL MOMENTS. because a blog is really like a journal and we write about monumental things that take place in our lives.... so there you have it.. I know your probably thinking why would I think of my blog at the Temple I actually wasn't it just popped into my head. Speaking of the Temple I had a wonderful time going with the relif society, it was so nice to spend time with sisters from my ward as well as my stake. anyways enough of my ramblings I most go and tend to a sick child now... before I go one more thing note to self never give a sick child peaches on the off chance that they cough so hard that it makes them vomit and peaches are every where just a thought....
