This past weekend we took a trip down south first on Friday we went down to a funeral for somebody in my husbands family it was so sad to listen to the children speak about there dad and see the slide show of his life. After That we went and crashed at my dad's house and got up the next morning and went out to breakfast.. boy was that fun... going out to eat with Josiah these days is quite a struggle. .but I managed to get out of there with no food on me. It was good to see my dad 2 weeks in a row even if it was a quick visit... So then we got on the road for our next stop... I have been telling the kids for weeks now that we have a surprise for them.. and this was the weekend for the surprise.. the whole drive from orange county to the L.A. area they kept asking where are we going..?? I didn't tell them anything...So we get to the hotel.. and there she was my mom or as the kids call her "mammy" I haven't seen her in over a year... and I was soooo happy to see her and the kids were very excited too... and very surprised. My mom lives in Utah and was down for the weekend for my cousins baby shower... she got us a room at her hotel in Calabasas and we stayed out there for the rest of the weekend... we had a really good time hanging out with mammy, swimming, walking around the town, and seeing lots of family... we even thought we might run into a celebrity since a lot live there.. well kam and the boys saw Morris Chesnut from the Game Plan at subway. my cousin even unexpectedly decided to have here baby the day of her shower.. so we got to go to the hospital to see the baby... all in all we had a great weekend....
a video of the kids walking in the door to find out what there surprise is....

We went out to lunch at sagebrush cantina...Josiah loved when the mariachi sang to us.

They sang funny songs and danced too..it was very entertaining...

My mom, Kala, and My cousin Emily enjoying lunch....

Josiah still enjoying the Mariachi band... I told my husband we can only eat at restaurants with Mariachi now because he was so good and sat in his seat the whole time...LOL

My hubby looking all handsome on a bench in a shopping center...

Kam playing with Josiah and his new book Mammy bought him...

Jayden posing with a frog at the shopping center

Jayden took this pic of Kam and I we decided to walk around the town, I love this town...

Kala and Jayden posing by a statue

this is supposed to be Kala posing by the store DASH which is the store owned by Kim kardashian and her sisters, we thought it was so cool that our hotel was right across the street. but it was so dark you can't see Kala...

o.k. this pic has a funny story behind it, we went to visit my cousin and new baby at the hospital and we parked really far I had Josiah with me and he was a sleep so Kala pushed me and josiah in a wheel chair all the way up to the door but she kept losing control of the wheelchair and we were all laughing so hysterically... and then it was kala's turn on the way back to the car hey Josiah is 32 lbs can you blame us =)

Josiah loved playing the the hotel.. and warmed up to mammy real quick

and this Leland anthony the newest edition to the family....

What a beautiful weekend! I got all teary eyed with your reunion with your mother - what a wonderful surprise for the kids! Haveing a baby being born on the weekend you mourn the loss of a loved one seems so perfect, it's like Heavenly Father brought one home as he was sending one down - what a beautiful thought!
What a fun time you had, especially to see your Mom! A whole year??? That's hard! Have you been to Utah, specifically to Salt Lake? So much wonderful church history there and the kids would love it!
