Whats new these past couple of weeks.......

Well I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks... We have been so busy with the kids... There last day of school was last Thursday, and it seems like they always have alot of activities at the end of the school year. On memorial weekend we went to Knott's berry farm with Kala's girl scout troop. She camped out across from the park where she did crafts and earned patches, the rest of us stayed at the knotts hotel and went to good ol' famous fuddruckers after eating we went back to the hotel where the kids went swimming in the rain. The next day we got up and went to Knott's. Josiah got to go on his first ride, he was a little scared when it went in a tunnel other than that he was so good all day not one fuss from him he had a blast. The other kids got to ride all the rides even the new one that just opened that day.... We all had so much fun. On Memorial day we went to the park with some friends and had a barbecue it was a beautiful day here in Bakersfield and we enjoyed just relaxing before our next busy week.On Tuesday Tyler volunteered at the homeless shelter and served them dinner it was quite an experience for him and were proud of him for doing it. The rest of the week the kids were busy with there last week of school.. everyday they had something fun going on, and then Friday to start off the summer vacation we joined some friends at the park for a play day and had lunch. This past weekend we went to great-grandmas house for a little get together, it was really nice to see my family especially after losing our aunt Becki recently. So now the kids our home for the summer except for Tyler he is trying to get into summer school as we speak so he doesn't get that much time off. As far as an update on Josiah since I last wrote he had recently learned to waive bye-bye and say Da-Da... not sure if he is trying to say daddy or not..... he loves watching play house disney and dora the explorer every where we go he is always grabbing the attention of others, everyone wants to squeeze his legs and pinch his cheeks and let me tell you he just loves the attention...he hasn't quite started to crawl yet but gets to where he wants to go by rolling over....well now that summer vacation has started im sure I will have lots of fun to write about....until then.....take care.......

some pictures, stories, and a video surely to brighten up anyone's day ...and even make you laugh

Tyler and Jayden decided to dress Josiah up and teach him to shoot some hoops. he looks like he's thinking " how am i going to shoot the ball way up there?"
So Ty picked him up to be close to the hoop...he made quite a few baskets. He made his brothers proud.
So as you all know Jayden has quite the imagination.. and here he is up to it again. Last friday we were having family movie night and the couches were taken up and he was upset he had to lay on the floor.. so he decided to make his own comfy spot with 2 bar stools... well I guess it really was comfy because about 10 minutes into the movie he was fast asleep....no we didn't leave him like that all night...lol
This is Kala and I at a mother daughter dance on mothers day weekend. We had so much fun it was a pajama party and she got to do my nails and as you can see in the picture she got to do my make-up we danced, made crafts and ate yummy food... over all it was a fun night to just spend with my daughter.

This is a video Josiah having a laughing attack... although you cant really see it... just listen.... he is quite the laugher....if you are wondering what is making him laugh so hysterically.. it's kala she is saying his full name and jumping around on the floor he just thinks its so funny when they do that......you might have to go up to my playlist and press stop on the music so you can hear it...

May you rest in peace Aunt Becki.......

I got a call this morning from my mom in Utah.. telling me that my aunt Becki past a way early this morning ...and right now i'm overloaded with emotion. First off I'm devastated to lose a member in my family.... the first close member in my family in fact. What a truly wonderful lady she was... She had such wonderful talent and everyday that I wrap my babies in the blankets she made for me ....I will always think of her and all the wonderful memories she leaves behind... She was my favorite aunt.. She would always treat me as if I were her own daughter... This past Christmas I had the pleasure of spending time with her one last time and it is that time that I will cherish most. She loved my kids as if they were her grandkids and always sent them stuff. Her smile would just brighten anybody's day....and it is that picture in my mind that i will try to hold. Another reason why I'm sad is because my mom lost her sister and I can hear my mom's pain in her voice and I wish I could be there for her.. although I am there for her emotionally, I really want to be there to give her a hug.. or what ever else she may need.. Those 2 sisters got along so well and infact my mom moved to Utah to be close with her... every weekend those 2 would run around town together and go shopping as if they were teenagers again....lol... I'm also sad for my cousins.. who lost there mommy way to early in life.... and now they must be strong.... Aunt Becki you leave so many behind.... I will miss you dearly... I love you..... may you rest in peace.... for those of you reading this... hug, love, cherish your loved one's ..live for today.. for we are not promised tomorrow.....

the case of the missing remote.......SOLVED

So Jayden is up to it again... for those of you who haven't heard my dennis the menece stories about Jayden... well he is just that he is always playing pranks on the family mostly me...and he thinks theres nothing wrong with it..... Well about a week and a 1/2 ago the remote control of our living room T.V. came up missing. I searched high and low for it and just couldn't seem to find it, we also made the kids look for it in the rooms.... but still no where to be found... after looking for it for about 4 days I just gave up.. I figured it must have gotten thrown away.. and we were just going to have to deal with it, I mean thats how people did have to watch T.V. back in the days.... so I was willing to think positive about it... at least we had a T.V. right? So as the week went on we all learned to adapt to it and didn't discuss the loss of the remote again.... So yesterday my husband and I are sitting in class at church just before its about to start..our daughter runs in and says " LOOK WHAT I JUST FOUND IN MY SCRIPTURE BAG" lo and behold its the remote control.. it was stuffed in a side pocket of her scripture bag...... My husband I just looked at each other...... and in the back of my mind I knew what the conversation was going to be on the drive home from church...... well come to find out.... Jayden finally remembered and admitted that on a Friday evening he had hid it so that no one would want to watch T.V. and he would have the living room all to himself....he said he just forgotten that he had hid it....until now.... well he got grounded for a day and we have our remote back.... :0)

Mothers hold their children's hands for a short while, but their hearts forever.

This Sunday being Mother's day... I have been thinking of 2 things ..... first I have been thinking about my mother and how i wished we lived a lot closer to her.... it has been so hard to have her so far away.... and not be able to see her everyday or at least every weekend....but on the positive side I am glad to be able to talk to her almost everyday... I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother.. who has brought, taught me and made me who I am today.....which brings me to my other thought.. and that is myself being a mother of 4 beautiful children.. and how everyday I count my blessings.... they bring me such joy everyday and I have learned everything i need to know about being a mother from my own wonderful mother.... so all in all on this Mother's day I am so thankful for my mother and I am so thankful to be a mother.....MOM HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY... I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH.... I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY........!!!
